Author note: If you prefer the top layer to not be crispy, cover the baking dish with foil when baking. For less cleanup, toss the noodles and cottage cheese mixture in the baking dish rather than the saucepan.
Ingredients
1/2 yellow onion, cut into chunks
4 garlic cloves, crushed
1 cup whole fat cottage cheese
1 1/2 cups cup sour cream, divided
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp kosher salt
10 oz flat egg noodles

Instructions
Heat an oven to 350 degrees. Butter a rectangular baking dish, set aside.
In a food processor pulse the onion and garlic until chopped. Add the cottage cheese, sour cream, Worcestershire and salt. Blitz until combined. Set aside
Cook the noodles in salted water and strain. Add the noodles back into the pan. Top with the cottage cheese mixture and stir until thoroughly combined. Place the noodles into the buttered dish. Top with paprika.
Place into the oven and bake for 25 to 30 minutes. Remove and serve warm.
