Enjoy the buffalo shrimp by themselves or topped with blue cheese or ranch. Another way to serve the shrimp is in tortillas topped with blue cheese and fresh cilantro. Ingredients 5 tablespoons unsalted butter 1 pound raw shrimp 1/3 cup hot sauce 2 tsp brown sugar 1/2 tsp kosher salt 2 garlic cloves, finely chopped  blue cheese crumbles, optional topping Instructions Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat, add the shrimp in one layer, and cook for 5 minutes, flipping the shrimp 2 minutes into cooking. Using a slotted spoon, remove the shrimp from the skillet, leaving as much butter in the skillet as possible. Add the hot sauce, salt and sugar into the skillet. Stir. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes. Add the garlic and cook for 1 minute.  Place the shrimp back into the skillet and stir well to thoroughly coat the shrimp with the sauce. Cook for 3 minutes, or until the shrimp is cooked through. Pour the shrimp and sauce onto a serving platter. Let cool for 5 minutes, top with optional blue cheese and serve immediately.  ![](https://blog.unitedsupermarkets.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Feb-06-2025-05-37-42-5196-PM.png?width=3732&height=4665&name=image-png-Feb-06-2025-05-37-42-5196-PM.png)   - [Tweet](https://twitter.com/share) Topics: [A Pleasant Little Kitchen](https://blog.unitedsupermarkets.com/tag/a-pleasant-little-kitchen) ### Recent Posts ### Main Categories - [A Pleasant Little Kitchen (155)](https://blog.unitedsupermarkets.com/tag/a-pleasant-little-kitchen) - [Happy and Nourished (102)](https://blog.unitedsupermarkets.com/tag/happy-and-nourished) - [Eat Well Live Well (26)](https://blog.unitedsupermarkets.com/tag/eat-well-live-well) - [Chef's Counter (14)](https://blog.unitedsupermarkets.com/tag/chefs-counter) - [Day of the Dead, Día de los Muertos (8)](https://blog.unitedsupermarkets.com/tag/day-of-the-dead-día-de-los-muertos) - [Easter (7)](https://blog.unitedsupermarkets.com/tag/easter) - [Hatch Chile Season (6)](https://blog.unitedsupermarkets.com/tag/hatch-chile-season) - [Valentine's Day (6)](https://blog.unitedsupermarkets.com/tag/valentines-day) - [Mothers Day (5)](https://blog.unitedsupermarkets.com/tag/mothers-day) - [Hispanic Heritage Month (4)](https://blog.unitedsupermarkets.com/tag/hispanic-heritage-month) - [Back To School (2)](https://blog.unitedsupermarkets.com/tag/back-to-school) - [Cinco De Mayo (2)](https://blog.unitedsupermarkets.com/tag/cinco-de-mayo) - [Brunch (1)](https://blog.unitedsupermarkets.com/tag/brunch) - [floral (1)](https://blog.unitedsupermarkets.com/tag/floral) - [salad (1)](https://blog.unitedsupermarkets.com/tag/salad) - [summer (1)](https://blog.unitedsupermarkets.com/tag/summer) - [vegetables (1)](https://blog.unitedsupermarkets.com/tag/vegetables) [See all](https://blog.unitedsupermarkets.com/buffalo-shrimp#) ![United Supermarkets](https://blog.unitedsupermarkets.com/hubfs/United%20Supermarkets%20Blog%202019/USIcon.png) ### Company Information - [About The United Family](https://www.theunitedfamily.com/) - [Careers](https://www.theunitedfamily.com/careers/) - [Commitment to Community](https://www.theunitedfamily.com/donations/) - [Sustainability Promise](https://www.theunitedfamily.com/sustainability/%20target=) - [Market Street](https://www.marketstreetunited.com/) - [Amigos](https://www.amigosunited.com/) - [Albertsons Market](https://www.albertsonsmarket.com) ### Guest Services - [Shop Online](http://www.unitedsupermarkets.com/rs/shoponline/) - [Order Gift Cards](https://www.unitedsupermarkets.com/rs/giftcards) - [Order Flowers](https://www.marketstreetflowers.com/) - [Take Our Survey](https://www.unitedsupermarkets.com/survey) - [Refill/Transfer Prescriptions](https://ecom.nhin.com/nhin/servlet/EpsEntry?CHAIN_ID=UNITED&STORE_ID=ALL&INIT=YES) - [Contact Us](https://www.unitedsupermarkets.com/page/contact) ### Resources - [Nutritional Info](https://www.theunitedfamily.com/nutrition/) - [Online Shopping FAQs](https://www.theunitedfamily.com/contact-us/faqs/#shopping) - [Email Online Shopping Support](https://www.safeway.com/contactus/contact-us-form/groceryDelivery/?bannerId=unitedsupermarkets) - [Rewards Program](https://www.unitedsupermarkets.com/page/savings/rewards) - [Email Rewards Support](https://www.safeway.com/contactus/contact-us-form/commentsAndQuestions/accountUpdate?bannerId=unitedsupermarkets) - [Product Recalls](https://www.theunitedfamily.com/recalls/) - [Coupon Policy](https://www.theunitedfamily.com/coupon-policy/) - [Privacy Policy](https://www.theunitedfamily.com/privacy-policy/) - [Terms & Conditions](https://www.theunitedfamily.com/terms-conditions/) [![](https://blog.unitedsupermarkets.com/hubfs/United%20Supermarkets%20Blog%202019/Insta.png)](https://blog.unitedsupermarkets.com/buffalo-shrimp#) [![](https://blog.unitedsupermarkets.com/hubfs/United%20Supermarkets%20Blog%202019/Facebook.png)](https://blog.unitedsupermarkets.com/buffalo-shrimp#) [![](https://blog.unitedsupermarkets.com/hubfs/United%20Supermarkets%20Blog%202019/Twitter.png)](https://blog.unitedsupermarkets.com/buffalo-shrimp#) [![](https://blog.unitedsupermarkets.com/hubfs/United%20Supermarkets%20Blog%202019/Pinterest.png)](https://blog.unitedsupermarkets.com/buffalo-shrimp#) Download Our Rewards App ![](https://blog.unitedsupermarkets.com/hubfs/Market%20Street%20Blog%202019/GooglePlay.png) ![](https://blog.unitedsupermarkets.com/hubfs/Market%20Street%20Blog%202019/AppStore.png) ```json { "@context" : "https://schema.org", "@type" : "VideoObject", "contentUrl" : "https://stream.mux.com/2qexEDvZwezN6D3LGvBCQM0256ve01R7txHngxQBuRanY/capped-1080p.mp4", "dateModified" : "2025-02-06T17:35:29.627Z", "duration" : "PT36S", "height" : 1920, "name" : "Buffalo Shrimp Instructional Video", "thumbnailUrl" : "https://3894598.fs1.hubspotusercontent-na1.net/hubfs/3894598/Buffalo%20Shrimp%20Instructional%20Video.mp4/medium.jpg?t=1738863329627", "uploadDate" : "2025-02-06T17:35:29.622Z", "width" : 1080 } ```
